Day 58 - Jack London Historic Park

This huge palm is a one of a kind on the ranch - almost seems out of step. But surely is thriving! Note the Ella a like in the distance.

The Guardian Tree for the storied vineyards of Jack London Ranch.

The Guardian Koi of the Big Pond.

Vineyards and moss.

The vines are fading - but the colours are spectacular.

Bark peels on one of the eucalypts in the grove. These were one of jack London's failed experiments. Hoping the trees would be viable as lumber - but they were not dimensionally strong enough - finding use as firewood only. Not too luctrative a crop.

This is the exact product from these fields.

A path throught the ranchland.

Central structure in "Pig Palace". The pigs had pretty awesome digs.

More Guardian Trees. They are everywhere.

One of many old oak trees.

Grasses, tree, and vines - all hanging out together.

The Team assesses the Giant Silos for possible Wildfire Lab activity. None found. Yet.

A critter must have taken a bite and then walked off. Hope it's ok.

I made a photo of this yesterday as a drive by - but returned tonight to frame things up a bit better. Yes, this is the motel we are staying in.

The plastic inflatables are popular here in Napa Valley too.
